My Story about TF Scale Study Exchange to Singapore (EN)

I began this article while remind my past 3 weeks in Singapore with the TFScale Student Exchange Batch IV 2017 Alumnus and It took me back to that gold days where we were having fun in sentosa island, walking in the rain to the Woodlands waterpark,  Kayaking in Ubin island, Trekking in Sungeibuloh and many more.

Before I exposed more stories and photos, let me explained you about this program.
So, TF SCALE (Brief of : Temasek Foundation Specialists’ Community Action and Leadership Exchange) is a student leadership exchange programme framework designed to build bridges between student leaders in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) universities and polytechnics across the Asian region. The goals of each programme are to ; Promote mutual understanding,  Build cross-cultural networks and  Develop leadership skills.

Basically the programme framework can be modified accordingly to the needs and pedagogical philosophy of each educational institution with the intrinsic goals remaining constant and as my major is tourism management the topic of program more about Sustainable Tourism and Experience Visitor.

The participant of this year which took a place in Republic Polytechnic  Singapore was about 80 Students from different country (Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam and Myanmar). But then We seperated in different topic, cause there're also Information Technology, Engineering and  Agriculture beside Tourism. So, the Tourism only had 40 students ( 20 singaporean and 20 Indonesian) The Indonesian Tourism Student's come from 6 universities under Tourism Ministry. I am one of 4 representatives from Makassar Tourism Polytechnic. Here is my team.

The first words come from my mind when morning phone from my lecturer about  the  test announcement  was like, 'Is it real? Whoaa.. I could finally step my feet in this merlion country '. Then, Me and All the representative met the director to a little brief about this program and what should We prepared for that. It was 1 month preperation before the flight. I was not worry about my passport, cause, The expirated date will be on March 2018. and I am more concerned to prepared my field research in North Moluccas. Until my friend told me that I can't use passport with less than 6 month expirated date. My flight supposed to on 2nd October (the RP has booked the ticket) so it less than 6 month. I am really worried and progressing my passport really soon after I back from my research. Lucky, it could be done a week before the flight. Fiuuh..  :3

We are finally arrived in Changi international Airport after 2 hours delay and Guess what? We're the latest team arrived. I feel so sorry to Ms. Candace, Shermaine and Bevelynn who had waiting too long. First impressed they were so friendly, Like seriously, I was nerveous to meet the RP Student but these girls makes me feel welcome and not so nervous anymore. Then, they pick us by bus to Campus height Republic Polytechnic in Woodlands it took about 30 minutes or more cause I kinda jetlag and forgot. On the Bus We talked a lot thing about our campus and compared it and I truly like their excitement talking to us. And in 19.20 we arrived in campus height, Mr. Jason was there, giving us room card, explained dorm rules, and brief about  tomorrow activity. I got the same room with vinny and the other girls are Pradniyani and Miswadita from Bali, Rika from Palembang and Trisna from Lombok. I am bit surprised with the facilities, There's kitchen, Refrigerator, Tv, living room, washing machine , dining room, 2 toilets, and even studying room. From Balcon I could see campus view, sport area and big swimming pool. And I was like "What an amazing campus!! I can't wait for tomorrow."
